The DC configuration utilizes an angled faceplate for the front end, and a vertical faceplate in the rear. The angled faceplate acts as a wind foil and reduces drag as well as wind noise when traveling. It also channels air over and around any low profile cargo like ladders and folding tents. The C faceplate attaches vertically and closes off the rear of the system, turning the rack into a basket with a wind buffeting front, and closed off rear. Please note that the D piece can also be installed upside down to create a basket style front end for the system.
